May 23, 2002 – In another theatre production – Opening night tonight for ¨Maggies Jazz Pit¨.
May 28, 2002 – Joined the Huronia Soundwaves Womens Choir Division of Sweet Adeline International.
June 4, 2002 – Auditioned for Nutcrackers with the Kempenfelt Players. Had to sing 2 songs.
June 12, 2002 – Decided not to pursue Nutcrackers. Not fulfilling my musical goals.
June 26, 2002 – Segun put my song ´What Will it Take?´ on their album, Beautiful Nubia and the Roots Renaissance Band – Jangbalajugbu.
July 3, 2002 -Sent my demo to Dwight Frieson at CBC radio. He said they might play it.
July 30, 2002 – Sent my demo to David Quilico at Song Music through a contact.
August 6, 2002 – Sent demo to Blair Packham at Blare! Music Inc.
August 8, 2002 – Sent demo to Jana Cleland at BMG Publishing Canada
November 9, 2002 – Signed publishing contract with Reg Sprung.
November 17, 2002 – Finished 4 song demo. Eternal Bonds, Psyche Motion, I Don´t Like Goodbyes, and Drifting Leos.
October 25, 2003 – Performed ¨Livin´ Dangerously!¨ at ´Evening with the Broadcast´.
January 16, 2003 – Reg called. First booking – Fitzy´s in Barrie.
January 29, 2003 – Reg called. Has an appointment with David Quilico at Sony.
February 19, 2003 – Open Jam at Lighthouse in Barrie
March 10, 2003 – Sent songs to Matt DeMatteo (Edwins producer in Toronto). Came back too expensive.
March 19, 2003 – My song ´What Will it Take´ is going to be included on a compilation CD called Eclectic Sounds. All profits will be donated to the Women & Childrens Shelter in Barrie Ontario.
March 25, 2002 – Open Jam at Lighthouse again. Will go every week.
June 10, 2003 – Going to begin working on a CD.
October 14, 2003 – 1:00 a.m. I am drinking a glass of wine to celebrate. I just got home from mastering my CD. It´s finished. 10 tracks and 1 secret track. The CD is called ¨Livin´ Dangerously¨. All the songs are posted on my website 🙂
October 20, 2003 – Getting the graphics done at Ball Media.
November 18, 2003 – Entered the Vince Gill Contest, the ISC and Nashville Compeition. Entered the Moose FM Songwriting Contest.
December 7, 2003 – Didn´t win anything in the ISC. Really disappointed! I think I´m depressed 🙁
December 2, 2003 – Sent CD to Bonnie Raitt and Colin James. Registered my music with New Music Canada.
December 8, 2003 – Signed up to CDBaby to promote my music.
December 10, 2003 – Ishah Blackley came for a hair cut. She saw my CD and took it home for her husband to hear. She said he is very well connected and can help.
December 19, 2003 – Jim Blackely called. Said I had alot of potential. Said he could tell I wrote all the songs because they have the same techniques throughout the songs. He asked me what I wanted to accomplish. I told him I am a songwriter. But I recorded the CD to get my songs out there. He said the music industry is like Fort Knox. He said he wasn´t going to make any promises, but to give him some time and he would see would he could do. He´d like to help me. I said I don´t expect anything, but I appreciate everything.
5 hours later, he told me the drummer for Sarah Harmer wants 10 CD´s to deliver to some influencial people… producers, managers… he spoke with Remy Shands manager as well about me.
Maybe this is it!!!
